Mike Sewell

EVP, Wal-Mart Sales Services

With over 30 years in the CPG industry and 20 years of experience with Walmart and Sam’s Club, Mike has extensive experience in developing and implementing aggressive growth strategies and in leading cross functional teams for various CPG companies. 

In his previous position as the Walmart Team Leader for Novartis Consumer Health, Mike was responsible for all commercial activities for the Walmart business in the U.S., including delivering profitable business growth and management of various cross-functional support for the customer.  He worked extensively with his counterparts in Marketing, Strategy, Regulatory / Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations.  Before Novartis Consumer Health, Mike was the Team Leader at Pharmavite LLC (Nature Made Vitamins) for Walmart and Sam’s Club, where he developed and implemented the go-to-market strategy for the brand introduction at Walmart and Sam’s Club.  He also successfully developed the Walmart and Sam’s Club Private Brand business.  Mike earned the award for Walmart Supplier of the Year and Quarter several times throughout his management of the Walmart business.

Prior to that, Mike served as Walmart and Sam’s Club Team Leader for the Henkel/Dial Corporation where his responsibilities included the integration of several brands and companies into the Henkel portfolio.

Mike is the Team Lead for MPG’s Sales Services group.  His customer and market focus, expertise in business and strategy development and acquisition integration, and wide range of experiences collaborating with retailers and manufacturers to successfully introduce new products and utilize shopper insights are leveraged to drive profitable growth for CPG companies and brands in a tough growth environment.

Mike has a BS in General Business from the University of New Orleans.
