Jim has over 30 years of sales, marketing, and general management experience in the consumer goods and consumer healthcare industry. Most recently he was Senior Vice President / General Manager of Merck Consumer Care’s U.S. business and played a leading role in the divestiture of Merck’s consumer brands to Bayer Healthcare.
During his extensive career, Jim has been a leader in the field of Rx to OTC switches, launching important brands such as Advil, Claritin, and MiraLAX into the OTC market. Prior to joining Merck, Jim spent twenty years with Schering-Plough, including four years in sales and marketing on the prescription side of the business. Jim began his career with Sterling Drug’s Consumer division in 1982 and also spent six years with the Whitehall Robins division of American Home Products where he rose to Vice President of Sales.
Jim served on the Board of Directors of the Personal Care Products Council and the Consumer Healthcare Products Association from 2003 until 2014. He currently serves on Saint Joseph University’s New York Executive Council and on the Haub Business School Board of Visitors.
At MPG, Jim leverages his extensive expertise in strategy, marketing, Rx-to-OTC switches, M&A, pricing and organizational and process redesign to help manufacturers and retailers accelerate growth. He holds a BS in marketing from Saint Joseph’s University.
