EVP - Drug Channel Sales Strategy & Solutions
Bill recently joined MPG as EVP. He manages MPG’s Sales Services business for the Drug Channel, managing teams that leverage deep relationships and understanding of retailer- and wholesaler-specific requirements, priorities, and strategies to drive profitable growth for brands and categories.
Bill is known in the industry for developing highly productive collaborative relationships with suppliers and developing successful merchandising innovations. Leveraging his combined experience in both Operations and Category Management, Bill was and is always grounded in the importance of flawless execution.
Bill joined MPG after retiring from his position as Group Vice President of Health and Beauty at Rite Aid. He had been with the Company since 1999, hired originally as Category Manager for OTC, then promoted to VP of Health Care before assuming additional responsibility for Beauty in 2009. While at Rite Aid, Bill was recognized with the Market Maker Award as Top OTC Merchant by Drug Store News in 2004 and by MMR as One of 7 Who made a Difference in 2009 and again in 2014. However, he would say his greatest accomplishment was coaching and developing such a talented Category Management Team at Rite Aid.
Prior to Rite Aid, Bill spent 20 years with American Stores (includes Osco Drug, Sav-On Drug, and Jewel, Lucky, and Acme food stores), starting in Operations and rising from Assistant Manager to District Manager.
