Former Merck Chief Customer Officer Rhonda Johnson Joins Leadership Team at Market Performance Group

PRINCETON, N.J – October 14, 2015 – Market Performance Group (MPG), an independent strategy consulting and sales management services company that specializes in helping consumer product companies to accelerate growth and profitability, today announced that Rhonda Johnson, formerly Chief Customer Officer, U.S. Region of Merck Consumer Care, has joined the company as an Executive Vice President and Client Lead.

At Merck, Johnson was responsible for leading Merck Consumer Care’s U.S. customer engagement efforts – including strategic account management, field and broker management, customer solutions, category and shopper strategy, sales administration and operations – and for shaping global selling strategies and aligning priorities around talent management initiatives across the commercial sales and marketing organizations.

Prior to assuming her position at Merck in 2011, Johnson served as Vice President of Sales at McNeil Nutritionals, a Johnson & Johnson company. Earlier in her career, she held several leadership roles for Johnson & Johnson, including that of National Sales Director. Johnson currently serves as First Vice President and sits on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association. She also is a member of the National Association of Chain Drug Stores and served on its Executive Retail Advisory Board.
