Industry Veteran Mike Sewell Joins Market Performance Group

PRINCETON, N.J. – October 29, 2015 – Market Performance Group (MPG), an independent strategy consulting and sales management services company that specializes in helping consumer product companies to accelerate growth and profitability, is pleased to announce that Mike Sewell has joined the MPG Team as Senior Vice President. Sewell has more than 30 years of experience in the consumer product and consumer health care industries that includes extensive expertise in developing and implementing aggressive growth strategies in an increasingly competitive retail and consumer environment.

Sewell joins MPG from Novartis Consumer Health where he was the Wal-Mart Team Leader, responsible for all commercial activities for the Wal-Mart business in the U.S., including delivering profitable business growth and managing cross-functional support across marketing, strategy, regulatory/quality, supply chain, and operations.

Prior to Novartis Consumer Health, Sewell was the Team Leader at Pharmavite LLC (Nature Made Vitamins) for Walmart and Sam’s Club, where he developed and implemented the go-to-market strategy for the brand introduction at Walmart and Sam’s Club. He also successfully developed the Walmart and Sam’s Club Private Brand business. Prior to that, Sewell served as Walmart and Sam’s Club Team Leader for the Henkel/Dial Corporation. His responsibilities included the integration of several brands and companies into the Henkel portfolio.

Sewell’s particular areas of expertise include utilizing advanced analytics to fuel shopper and category insights and increased efficiencies, business and marketing strategy, retailer relationship optimization, Rx to OTC switches, trade marketing, sales, brand introductions, Private Brand business development, and acquisitions integration.
