Market Performance Group Announces Leadership Change and Board Additions

Market Performance Group (MPG) is announcing a change to its leadership structure and making two additions to the Advisory Board in order to better serve its clients and position the firm for future growth. Since its inception thirteen years ago, MPG has helped shape strategy and market execution for scores of consumer goods clients from large multinational companies to small entrepreneurial start-ups. MPG continues to evolve to meet the diverse needs of these clients and anticipate the forces driving the future of the industry.

As part of this evolution, Tim Toohey, Founding Partner of MPG, has chosen to retire from the firm to pursue other business and personal interests. Tim will continue to contribute his extensive knowledge and consulting expertise as a member of MPG's Advisory Board. MPG Founding Partner Marc Greenberger said, “We are grateful to Tim for his years of hard work and his exceptional business acumen, which have served to spectacularly position our endeavors well into the future.” He added, "We’re thrilled that our fine colleague and friend will continue in his strong role on the Board.”

Also joining the MPG Advisory Board are two new members whose industry experience and extensive knowledge of the consumer goods market will make valuable additions to the MPG organization. Jim Mackey, who recently served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Merck's US consumer business, and John Hogan, most recently Vice President Customer and Logistics Services for Johnson & Johnson and President, J&J HCS will join the MPG Board in an advisory capacity. Mackey has over 30 years of sales, marketing, and general management experience in the consumer health care industry with significant expertise in strategy development, customer management, and organizational development. Hogan has more than 35 years of industry experience and brings a deep understanding of supply chain management, customer logistics services, sales force design, and post-merger integration. Collectively, they bring a wealth of industry know-how to MPG that will deliver positive impact to the firm's clients.

Current MPG Advisors, Doug Degn, former Walmart EVP Merchandising, Bill Duffy, former Johnson & Johnson VP Sales, and Pat Peters, former Unilever SVP, are also members of the MPG Advisory Board.
